I love taking personality tests and quizzes. Most are just for fun and some give a bit of insight, but by far the most helpful test I’ve ever taken is the Enneagram. Not only does it seem right on, there is a body of research, psychological and self-improvement tools, and other resources around this.
I personally like the Riso-Hudson method, but I’ve also found value from Helen Palmer’s works.
If you would like to check out a free abbreviated test, you can go here.

Very interesting-I’ve not heard of this test & will have to check it out. I’ve known of Meyers-Briggs forever (I’m an ENFJ/INFJ depending on the situation. Props if you got that! ;)) I found you via #atozchallenge on Twitter. Happy writing!

Very cool, Katya! I’ve been a student of the (Riso / Hudson interpretation of) the Enneagram for more than a decade. I’m glad you’ve discovered it and found it of use. π

It has been and continues to be a great tool. Glad to meet another person who has benefited from it.

I love this post. I have a real fascination with psychological tests- I’ve written a couple of short stories with them as the basis. If you’d like to check out something odd, creepy, and yet funny– there are a few tests at hypnoid.com that are interesting. I’m not sure if the guy is serious or if it is a kind of interactive art…
