This week I’ve got another snippet from my upcoming release, Monica’s Match. Since this week’s theme is sexy talk, I’ve got my hero and heroine flirting. This is one of the first times the heroine relaxes around the hero. She’s been resisting their attraction because he’s her client.

When Monica laughed, her whole face lit up. The sight made Jeremiah’s chest tighten. Among other things.

“Did you just make a joke?” he asked.

She smiled at him, merriment dancing in her green eyes as she leaned against the stall in a mirror of his relaxed stance. “You’re not the only one with a sense of humor, Mr. Jokester.”

His grin widened as he traced the curve of her hip with his eyes and came back up to her face. He reached out and brushed a stray lock of hair off her cheek. “I think I just got a nickname. Come Sunday you might even start to like me.”

“Don’t get your hopes up.”

“It’s not just my hopes that are up.” He waggled his brows, but the genuine smile died on her lips, replaced by the professional one he’d seen her sport far too often. Damn. He’d pushed too far.

She handed him back the towel for the second time. He made sure his hand brushed hers when he took it from her. Her breath hitched. No way she didn’t feel the sexual chemistry between them.

Monica’s Match is now available for pre-order from Amazon!

I’ve finally set a release date for my new book: April 14! You can pre-order it now from Amazon. This one starts a new series about the residents of Perry Grove, Michigan. It’s a sensual, contemporary romantic comedy, and I hope you’ll enjoy it. And now for the cover reveal:

Monica has the ability to see a guy’s aura light up the first time he touches his soul mate, but she’s kept it a secret since her parents shamed her as a child. Still, she decides to start her own matchmaking company—even if she doesn’t advertise her unique ability. Business is so-so until she gets a call to find matches for the singles of the small town of Perry Grove. She’s not looking for love herself but has an immediate attraction to one of her clients. Too bad another woman lit up his aura.

Hunky dairy farmer Jeremiah wants nothing to do with his grandpa’s hare-brained matchmaking scheme but agrees to play along to appease the man who raised him.  But when he meets the sexy matchmaker, he starts to rethink his single status. Too bad she’s intent on pairing him up with another woman. If there’s one thing he knows, though, it’s how to be stubborn.

Wicked ways to wake up #MySexySaturday

I’ve got a sexy snippet from my upcoming release, Monica’s Match. Monica is staying with an older couple, Ed and Bunny, while she’s visiting the small town of Perry Grove for a two-month job. In this scene, she is napping. Bunny tasks her grandson, Jeremiah, to wake Monica up for dinner. He gets a little creative in the execution.

He leaned over and gently rocked her shoulder. “Monica, wake up; it’s time for dinner.”

She moaned a bit, tried to shake off his offending hand. Not so great at waking up, it seemed. A wicked idea flitted across his mind. He knelt and brushed his lips over hers then ran his tongue along her lower lip. She stretched, her moan one of pleasure this time. He deepened the kiss, and for a few seconds she kissed him back.

Doughnut tires and head in the game: #8Sunday

This week I have another snippet from my soon-to-be-released contemporary romantic comedy Monica’s Match. This one introduces the heroine, who is finally arriving at her job site after a flat tire delay. Note that final edits are still in progress.

Monica Morgan slammed the door of her red Camry and kicked the offending tire for good measure. “Ow. Darn it!” Her sensible black flats were no match for the doughnut wheel. Smooth move, Sherlock. Get your head in the game. You need this job or your business is toast.

She took a moment for one deep breath then hurried to the entrance of the Perry Grove United Methodist Church.

Hare-brained schemes #8Sunday #excerpt

I haven’t done a Sunday 8 for a good while, but I’m hoping to get back on the saddle. This is from my soon-to-be-released contemporary romantic comedy Monica’s Match. The hero, Jeremiah, is none too thrilled to be participating in Monica’s matchmaking services. Note that final edits are still in progress.

The matchmaker was two hours late. Jeremiah Thompson already didn’t want to be here. However, since hiring a matchmaker for Perry Grove’s singles was his grandpa’s hare-brained scheme, here he waited with strict instructions to stay in the Sunday school classroom by himself. Evidently the matchmaker liked to “observe initial meetings,” as his grandpa had quoted from the matchmaker’s instruction guide. A guide Jeremiah hadn’t bothered to read because had no intention of losing his bachelorhood anytime soon.
He’d given up on the kid chairs about twenty minutes in and now had his legs sprawled in front of him on the floor and his back against one of the brightly colored cinder-block walls. Tossing his Lego creation to the side with disgust, he hoisted himself to his feet. “Screw this.”

Wyn Sander is surprised when his brother Kyle asks him to be best man at his wedding. Wyn’s even more shocked to learn the woman who later walks into his garage is Ronnie’s half-sister, Iona. He’s instantly attracted to her. She’s sophisticated, beautiful, and confident. At least she is until Wyn stands up. She flinches and a look of terror passes over her face. It bothers him to see. Luckily, desire replaces it, but it doesn’t stop Wyn’s curiosity. For the first time in his life, he wants to find out what made Iona fearful and fix it.

Iona can’t believe her luck. The man she lusts after is her new sister’s soon to be brother-in-law. The kiss they share shatters her, but her attempt to stop any involvement with him ends up with her agreeing to three dates. She jerked her hand from his. “Where are we going?”

“Basement. Need you.” He reached for her.

She backed up. “We can’t. Your mom—”

He drew her against him. “You feel that? How hard I am?”

A soft sigh escaped her lips, his only answer.

He brushed his fingertip across them. “I ache, darling.”

She turned her head and sucked one of his fingers into her mouth. The tug connected with his balls. He wrenched his finger free and cupped her face between his hands. “I’m going to take you downstairs and fuck you, Iona. Hard and fast.” Her eyes widened. He loved the shock displayed in them. He brushed his lips over hers. “Then tonight, you’re coming home with me, and I’m going to love you real slow, until you beg me to fill you up.”

She shook her head. “No sleepovers. No commitments. I told you that. Besides, your mom is picking me up early. We’re going shopping.”

Her words danced through his head. Disappointment hit first, then excitement flared. “You didn’t say no to now.”

She swallowed hard. “I don’t know. I want you, but…”

“But what?”

She glanced in the direction of the living room. “What if somebody walks in on us? Your family will assume we’re in a relationship.”

“Nobody will catch us.” With a single finger, he turned her face toward him. “Do you trust me?”

Her cautious nod answered him.

“Good.” That was all he needed to know. He lifted her, a hand on her bottom.

“Wyn—”

He nipped her lip. “Quiet. We only have a few minutes.” He pulled the basement door shut behind them and turned the lock. “And I’m not wasting them talking.”

“You’re serious.” Her whisper matched her widened eyes.

He hurried down the stairs and dropped her bottom on the back of the sofa. “Yeah. I don’t think I’ll survive a whole day without you.”

She clutched at his shirt. “Oh.”

One word. Damn he loved how she reacted to him. He popped the button on her shorts and tugged the zipper. She lifted her bottom. No hesitation. No denial. He held her acceptance close.

“Next time, I’ll worship you. Head to toe. Eat you out. Lick your breasts. Give you everything.” Hand fisted around her waistband, he glanced at her. “You want that?”

She nodded. “Yes. I want.”

“Good, but tonight I need you. Just like this.”

About the Author

A true romantic at heart, Nancy Corrigan is convinced there’s a knight in shining armor for every woman (or man), but you won’t find damsels in distress in her stories. She adores pairing alpha heroes with women strong enough to match them and bring them to their knees. She also enjoys flipping the traditional roles in romances because her motto is—love and people should never be forced to conform to anyone’s norm.

She holds a degree in chemistry and has worked in research but now focuses on ensuring quality. She considers it the perfect outlet for her as she’s the first to admit she has some OCD tendencies. It carries over into her writing life too. While engrossed in a novel, she has a habit of forgetting to eat and sleep. Fortunately, she’s married to her own knight in shining armor who understands her oddities and loves her anyway. They reside in Pennsylvania with their three children, dog, snake and guinea pigs. Her other interests include tattoos, animals, classic cars and all things spooky and sexy.
